    Thailand – expectations vs reality

    Thailand was my first journey to east Asia. Every time I travel I have some expectations, sometimes I’m aware of them, sometimes they’re deep in my subconscious.     Abu Dhabi & Sheikh Zayed Mosque

    From the moment we decided to go to Dubai, I knew one thing: I want to go to Abu Dhabi. I saw so many pics of Sheikh Zayed Mosque on the Internet and I wanted to see it live. Mosque? Why would one go over 100 km to see a mosque? Because it’s amazing. And the biggest in United Arab Emirates – 40k people can pray there.     One week in Dubai

      One week in Dubai? It doesn’t make any sense, they said. What can you do in Dubai for one week? There are a lot of great places to see, cool things to do and there’s a possibility that you won’t complete your whole itinerary. Yes, I like to plan my itineraries.     Short stories from Dubai

      Story No. 1. Prague, Florenc bus station, 5:15am It’s dark, it’s empty, it’s 11 degrees Celsius. Poles sat by tables and started eating sandwiches they took with them. A couple is eating blackberries from a huge plastic box. Blackberries are tasty at 5am. A German couple came, they looked at closed Burger King with sad faces and left.     Why would you want to visit Dubai, they said. There’s nothing interesting there, they said.
